NITROX DIVER
By learning to use Nitrox (enriched air) you will now be capable of diving for extended periods of time compared to just using normal air.
WHAT IS IT?
Nitrox is air with higher than normal levels of oxygen between 21% and 40%. By using nitrox you can (in some cases) stay at a certain depth 50% longer with no increase in decompression risk.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
The Enriched Air Diver course is Go Dive Pacific’s most popular specialty scuba course. Scuba diving with enriched air ‘nitrox’ gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. The nitrox course is available to all open water diver at or above the age of 12.
What will you learn?
By taking Go Dive Pacific’s Nitrox course you will learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. During a practical session, and two optional (or required) scuba dives, you will be able to:
Discuss managing oxygen exposure
Practice analyzing oxygen content in your scuba tank
Set your dive computer for diving with enriched air nitrox
All in all; if you want to dive for longer, and return to the water between dives quicker, then the enriched air nitrox course is the one for you!
